About kids orbit
In business since 1995, Kids Orbit is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit after-school care provider offering a variety of enrichment activities to elementary and middle school students. Not only do they currently offer after-school programming for nine Brooklyn schools, but Kids Orbit also provides recess supervision for many DOE schools and runs Park Slope Day Camp and Sonic Soccer. Their success working with school-aged Brooklyn kids combined with their rich and varied program were the reasons we choose Kids Orbit. Kids Orbit’s staff has experience working with children and pride themselves on the bonds formed between counselors and kids — many of the counselors are Park Slope Day Camp counselors — and are chosen for their enthusiasm and creativity. Kids Orbit conducts regular staff meetings about the personal needs of their kids and training sessions on creating a positive environment and being good leaders.
In addition to daily activities such as supervised outdoor play, games, and reading time, enrichment classes taught by instructors who specialize in the given subjects are included for all students enrolled. Enrichment classes include: * yoga * martial arts * dance/creative movement * art * chess * music * drama/playwriting * Soccer.
